UK Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

A respectful workplace starts with knowing what to do

Preventing sexual harassment requires more than publishing a policy. Workers need to understand the standards expected of them and feel confident responding when something does not seem right.

SucceedLEARN's UK Preventing Sexual Harassment Training turns an important workplace responsibility into focused, accessible online learning.

Created for workers in England, Scotland and Wales, the course supports organisations seeking to strengthen awareness and reinforce a proactive approach to prevention.

From awareness to action steps for UK sexual harassment prevention training.
Prevention becomes stronger when expectations are understood before a concern arises.

Move from Policy Awareness to Everyday Action

A policy explains an organisation's position. Training helps workers connect that position with the choices they make every day.

  • Notice when workplace conduct may require attention
  • Think more carefully about personal and professional boundaries
  • Respond appropriately to concerning situations
  • Use the organisation's reporting routes with greater confidence
  • Understand their role in maintaining a respectful workplace

The emphasis remains on practical judgement, not lengthy legal instruction.

Prevention is no longer only good practice - it is an active legal responsibility.

Support Your Preventive Approach

Since 26 October 2024, the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 has required UK employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their workers, including harassment involving third parties such as customers and clients.

The duty is proactive. Employers are expected to consider workplace risks and introduce appropriate preventive measures rather than waiting for an incident to occur. From 30 October 2026, this requirement will become stronger: employers will need to demonstrate that they have taken all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment. Failure to meet the duty may lead to enforcement action by the Equality and Human Rights Commission and increased compensation following a successful Employment Tribunal claim.

Relevant, regularly reviewed training can support an organisation's preventive measures by:

  • Communicating expected standards of behaviour
  • Helping workers recognise and report concerns
  • Reinforcing policies and reporting procedures
  • Demonstrating an active commitment to prevention

Training should be supported by risk assessment, effective policies, accessible reporting routes and appropriate action when concerns arise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this course designed for?

The course is designed for workers in England, Scotland and Wales. Organisations should assign additional role-specific learning where managers or specialist teams have responsibilities beyond general employee awareness.

How does the course support UK employers?

It helps organisations communicate expected standards and build worker awareness as part of a wider preventive approach. Training alone does not fulfil every organisational responsibility.

Does the website show the complete course content?

No. The website provides a concise overview. A detailed course outline or demonstration can be requested from SucceedLEARN.

Can we include our policy and reporting information?

Customisation may include relevant policies, reporting routes, organisational contacts, branding and terminology, depending on the agreed scope.

Is the training suitable for remote workers?

Yes. The learning considers conduct across physical, remote, digital and other work-connected environments.

Does completing the course guarantee legal compliance?

No. Training can support an employer's preventive measures, but it does not replace legal advice, risk assessment, effective policies, suitable reporting arrangements or appropriate action when concerns arise.
