Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Which U.S. state laws are covered in this prevention of sexual-harassment training?

The course addresses federal obligations to prevent workplace harassment and includes state-specific content for California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Content is updated whenever laws change.

2. Does the program cover city rules like Chicago?

Yes. It includes a 1-hour Chicago CCHR-aligned bystander intervention module.

3. How long is the required training?

California: 1 hour for employees, 2 hours for supervisors every two years. Connecticut: 2 hours for all staff within six months of hire. Illinois and New York require annual refreshers.

4. Is the course interactive as some states demand?

Yes. All modules use interactive scenarios, activities, and knowledge checks to meet CA, NY, and CT standards. The platform also supports automated reminder emails, automated learner onboarding and offboarding, HRIS synchronization and SSO integration. An awareness-poster library is available in the portal for admins to share via email, intranet, or print.

5. Do you include abusive-conduct and bullying content for California?

Absolutely. A dedicated micro-segment on “abusive conduct” is baked into the employee and training.

6. What proof do auditors need, and how do we get it?

Each learner receives an instant PDF certificate, and HR can export a time-stamped completion report filtered by state, role, or location ready for investigators, regulators, or board reviews.

7. Is the training WCAG-accessible?

Yes. Every module offers captions, transcripts, full keyboard navigation, and screen-reader tags to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA, ensuring accessibility for all employees.

8. How soon after hiring must new employees be trained?

Connecticut requires training within six months; other states recommend completion “as soon as practicable.” Our onboarding automation can assign the employee track on day one and track completion deadlines.

9. Can contractors or gig workers be included?

They can. California counts contractors toward the 5-employee threshold, and many employers choose to train non-employees to reduce liability. Our licence allows you to add contractors or temps with the same dashboards and certificates.
